Summer has come and gone! How did that happen?
I’ve been perusing the September fashion magazine issues and I thought I’d illustrate a few items that stand out to me and that I’m just in love with.
Above are the Gucci boots. I love these boots! Love them. I hope there’s a good knock off out there, because I certainly can’t afford the originals!
I illustrated these boots from HARPER’S BAZAAR September 2014, pg. 365 and p. 382.
A sketch of this dress from Loft.
I have been using my Moleskine quite a bit lately to just get bits of this and that down in watercolor.
My first attempt at these sunglasses that remind me of those worn by Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis. After growing up in the 70s and 80s, I really didn’t think I could ever love large glasses frames, but I must admit…these actually look good!
I have been working on an illustration of a groovy bikini that belonged to my mother, but it’s not quite ready to show yet. So, instead I thought I would share with you a picture of my Grandmother in her 1940s swimsuit. I love this picture!
My grandmother is the lady to the right in the picture. My grandparents were living in California at this time and there are just tons of pics of them with friends on the beach.
But seriously, aren’t these suits just great!
I have been creating illustrations like this all week and thought…wouldn’t it be fun to illustrate myself? And yes, it was!
